How to use AI Text in the Editor

AI Text allows you to generate, rewrite, expand, or shorten text directly in the Design Huddle editor. This is helpful when you want to quickly create new copy or refine existing text without leaving your Project.

When to use this

Common use cases include:

• Generating new text based on a prompt
• Rewriting existing text
• Expanding short text with additional detail
• Shortening text to make it more concise
• Adjusting generated text for a specific tone
• Working within a maximum character count

How AI Text works

When AI Text is enabled, select a text element and click Transform Text in the context menu.

From there, you can choose:

• Generate New Text — Creates new text based on the prompt you provide.
• Rewrite — Creates alternative wording while keeping the general meaning.
• Expand — Adds more detail to the text.
• Shorten — Reduces the length of the text.

The AI Text window displays generated options that you can review before adding them to your Project.

How to generate AI text

To generate new text, follow these steps:

1. Select a text element in the editor.
2. Click Transform Text in the context menu.
3. Select Generate New Text.
4. Enter a prompt describing the text you want to create.
5. Select a Tone, if needed.
6. Set Max Characters if you want to limit the length of the generated text.
7. Click Generate.
8. Review the generated options.
9. Click Use This next to the option you want to add to the text element.

Once selected, the generated content is applied to the text element.

Choosing a tone

You can select a tone before generating text to help guide the style of the response. Available options include:

• Formal
• Professional/Business
• Casual/Informal
• Friendly/Warm
• Persuasive/Assertive
• Informative/Authoritative
• Humorous/Witty
• Empathetic/Supportive
• Urgent

If you do not need a specific tone, you can leave this setting unchanged.

Refining generated text

After text is generated, each result includes a Refine menu. This allows you to continue adjusting an individual result by selecting:

• Rewrite
• Expand
• Shorten

This is useful when a generated option is close to what you need but requires additional refinement before you use it.

Enabling AI Text

AI Text is not enabled automatically. Contact support@designhuddle.com to request that it be turned on for your account.

When enabling the feature, AI Text can be configured so that:

• Only admins can use it
• Admins and users can use it

For best results, choose the access level that matches how you want AI-assisted text creation to be used within your organization.
