How to use Advanced Controls for Text Elements

Advanced Controls gives you access to additional text settings that are used less frequently or are intended for more specific workflows. These options are available from the left menu when a text element is selected.

This is helpful when you need to configure advanced text behavior without adding extra controls to the main text settings.

How to open Advanced Controls

To access these settings, follow these steps:

1. Select a text element in the editor.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the text settings in the left menu.
3. Click Advanced Controls.
4. Review or update the available options.

Available Advanced Controls

The following settings are available under Advanced Controls:

• Anchor To Element — Links the selected text element to another element so its positioning can respond to changes in that element.
• Suggested Text — Allows you to define suggested text options that can be presented when the text is edited.
• Default Text Tokens — Allows you to configure default text tokens for the selected text element.
• Blend Mode — Controls how the text element visually blends with elements or content behind it.

When to use Advanced Controls

Use Advanced Controls when you need to work with one of these more specialized text settings. For standard formatting options such as font, size, spacing, alignment, transparency, drop shadow, curve, or highlight, continue using the main text settings in the left menu.

Moving these options under Advanced Controls keeps the primary text settings focused while still making the additional controls available when needed.
