What are Private Template Categories?

Private Template Categories let you control who can see and use certain templates in the Template Gallery within a specific category. You can mark templates as public, private, or hidden under the main categories.

System Admins can assign a Template to a private category and then share it with a specific account by publishing a Template to that specific Account. That category will only appear in the Template Gallery if the Account has a Template assigned within that category.

This setup gives you more control over which Templates are available to Brands and/or Accounts and what categories they see.

There are three visibility options available:

  • Public: This item will be available for Account Admins to select when publishing their own templates regardless of whether or not you have previously given them access to a template you assigned this item to.
  • Private: This item will only be available for Accounts where a Template has been published to them with that category
  • Hidden: This item will be hidden from the template gallery filter section and any templates assigned to it will be hidden from the template gallery.
