How to Set Overprint for Export

Overprint is a printing technique used in the prepress and production stages of printing where one color is intentionally printed on top of another. This can affect the final appearance of colors and is commonly used for achieving specific visual effects or ensuring print accuracy in certain situations.

Overprint is a global setting in Design Huddle that will effect all colors with a specific SPOT name. To set a color(s) to overprint, follow these steps.

  1. Send support@designhuddle.com the list of SPOT colors to be set for Overprint
  2. Design Huddle team will confirm that these are set

OR

  1. Choose a specific class name (ex: overprint) and send to supoort@designhuddle.com
  2. Once Design Huddle team confirms that class has been applied set this Class on any element you want Overprint to be applied for

Once set any elements with this SPOT name or Class will be set to Overprint. Keep in mind that SPOT colors are maintained on PDF import into Design Huddle.
