How to Set X & Y Coordinates on Elements

Elements that have adjustable height and width in the editor can also have their X & Y coordinates set. This allows for precise placement of elements on the canvas. For instance, if you need two elements to be perfectly aligned, instead of relying on visual estimation or snapping functionality, Admins can now specify exact coordinates.

Admin users can now set X &Y coordinates for the following elements:

  • Shapes
  • Images
  • Videos
  • Vectors
  • Zones

Note: Coordinates can only be set on elements that are not rotated.

To set X & Y coordinates, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the element to be placed
  2. In the left menu locate the Position section
  3. Type the X &Y coordinates in their respective text boxes

MCP Support

The Design Huddle MCP can move supported elements to a general area—such as the top-left, center, or bottom-right—or place them at exact X and Y coordinates. Describing a general location is convenient, but exact coordinates are the recommended approach when consistent and precise placement is important. The assistant will identify the element and preview its current and proposed position before updating the Project.

Sample prompt: “Move the element named company_logo to the top-left of the ‘Business Card’ Project. Use X 48 and Y 36 if exact positioning is needed.”
