How to add Suggested Text Options

Suggested Text allows you to define preset text options for a text element. This is helpful when you want users to choose from approved or commonly used copy instead of entering text from scratch.

Suggested Text is configured from Advanced Controls for the selected text element.

When to use this

Common use cases include:

  • Providing approved messaging for a template
  • Giving users a list of common text choices
  • Improving consistency across Projects
  • Limiting the amount of text users need to enter manually

How to add suggested text options

To add suggested text to a text element, follow these steps:

  1. Select the text element in the editor.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the text settings in the left menu.
  3. Click Advanced Controls.
  4. Under Suggested Text, click Enter Options.
  5. Enter a suggested text option.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Repeat these steps for any additional options you want to include.

Once added, the suggested text options will be available from the text element's context menu.

Allowing custom text entry

The Allow Custom Text Entry setting controls whether users can enter their own text in addition to selecting one of the suggested options.

When enabled, users can choose from the suggested text options or enter custom text.

When disabled, users can choose from the suggested options that have been configured for the text element.

Using suggested text in the editor

When suggested text has been added, select the text element and open its context menu. The configured text options will be available for selection.

If AI Text is also enabled and available to the user, its text generation and transformation options will appear alongside the suggested text options in the context menu.

Removing suggested text

To remove an individual option, open Suggested Text and click the delete icon next to that option.

To remove all configured options, click Remove All.
