Reseller Mode in Design Huddle enables a flexible, hierarchical structure that extends beyond the standard System Admin-to-Account setup. It is ideal for organizations that need to empower designated accounts with the ability to manage their own sub-accounts independently.
What Is Reseller Mode?
Reseller Mode allows specific Accounts to act as resellers, meaning they can:
- Create and manage their own sub-accounts
- Operate independently within the platform while still remaining part of your Design Huddle environment
Each Reseller Account must have at least one Account Admin, who functions as the System Admin for their sub-accounts. These admins have full administrative control—just like a primary System Admin—but only within their own hierarchy.
When Should You Use Reseller Mode?
Reseller Mode is best suited for the following scenarios:
- Targeted Template Management: Allow resellers to distribute templates to specific user groups or regions.
- Decentralized Control for Large Organizations: Give super users or departments the ability to manage their own users, templates, and brands without depending on a central admin.
- White-labeled Experiences: Offer branded environments with custom logos, colors, and even domains tailored to sub-accounts (note: white-labeled domains require additional DNS configuration and incur an extra charge).
Branding & Customization Options
Sub-accounts can be individually branded with their own:
- Logos
- Color schemes
- Custom domain names (optional; requires DNS setup and is subject to additional fees)
This enables a fully white-labeled experience for each sub-account, perfect for reseller models or organizations managing multiple brands or clients.
How Sub-Accounts Operate
Sub-accounts in Reseller Mode function identically to standard Design Huddle accounts. This includes:
- Publishing templates
- Creating and managing users
- Assigning brand kits
The only limitation: Template Categories are global across your entire Design Huddle instance and cannot be customized per sub-account.
